$10,000 reward for information on mutilated pelican

Great news, the mutilated California brown pelican made it through the first surgery on Sunday and is doing well! Double great news, the reward for information on the attacker(s) is now up to $10,000.

In other news, the pelican has been officially nicknamed “Pink” for the colored leg band the bird was assigned upon arriving at International Bird Rescue. Pink will likely need additional surgeries, but this is a great first step. To keep apprised of the pelican’s status, visit the International Bird Rescue website.

And if you know anything about how this pelican was attacked, please say something!

I hope someone will come forth and offer some info to catch these people who perpetrated this despicable act.
